Her mother, a pioneering teacher, and her father, the first graduate from the Tribal belt of East Godavari District, inspired her commitment to education and community service.
Educational Qualifications and Achievements:
Geetha pursued a path of continuous learning, earning a Master's degree in Public Administration, Sociology, and Psychology, along with a Bachelor's in Education (B.Ed). Her dedication to academics led her to excel at Andhra University, where she became the university topper at MR College of Education, Vizianagaram.
Her Journey from an Early Career in Banking to a Distinguished Civil Servant:
At the young age of 20, Geetha embarked on her professional journey as an Officer at Godavari Grameena Bank, gaining invaluable insights into banking and administration. While working, she privately pursued her Master's in three disciplines, setting a foundation for her remarkable career in civil service.

Smt. Kothapalli Geetha, a beacon of leadership, was born in 1971 into a family steeped in education and prosperity. She was the second child and the cherished daughter of Late Shri. Kothapalli Jacob and Late Smt. Kothapalli Lizamma.
A Legacy of Empowerment
Smt. Kothapalli Lizamma, her mother, was a luminary in her own right. A dedicated educator, she retired in 1984 as the Headmistress of the Municipal High School in Rajamahendravaram. Her life was a testament to the cause of women's empowerment. From her early days as a soldier in the royal army, she embarked on a relentless journey to uplift those in need. Her unwavering commitment led her to adopt numerous villages and champion the downtrodden until the remarkable age of 93.
A Guiding Light
Smt. Geetha's father, a proud member of the Valmiki Community, recognized as a Scheduled Tribe, hailed from Thimmapuram village in the Addathigala Mandal of East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. He etched his name in history as the first graduate from the Tribal belt of East Godavari District. In 1948, he embarked on a journey in the Revenue services of Andhra Pradesh, culminating in his retirement as a Deputy Collector in 1982 from Mahaboobnagar District, Telangana.
In the twilight of his career, he dedicated his life to social service, tirelessly working for the betterment of rural and agency areas in East Godavari District. His enduring influence served as the bedrock of Smt. Geetha's pursuit of higher studies and her subsequent illustrious career. Although he left this world in 1997, his legacy lives on in the hearts of the people, a tribute to his selfless contributions.
This family legacy, rooted in education, service, and empowerment, laid the foundation for Geetha Kothapalli's extraordinary journey of leadership and public service.
